Gabby Guaiumi

Guaiumi travels to the Hilltop after playing a season with Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Guaiumi is a native of the Bay Area and was a four-year starter Tamalpais High. During her prep career, Guaiumi led her team to a North Coast Section Championships as a junior and senior, posting a 42-2-5 record. A three-time All-Conference selection, she tallied 40 shutouts during her final two campaigns including two shutout streaks spanning nine-plus matches.

"Gabby is a huge addition to our program and I am thrilled she is coming to play at USF," Carr said. "She looked at the school and our program back in 2009 and things did not work out. She is a local kid and we are thrilled to have her back in the Bay Area. I expect her to push for the starting position from day one. She is a hard worker with a lot of potential to make spectacular saves (USFAthletics)."

AT USF (2011). Played soccer for the Dons. 

RS-FRESHMAN AT UW-MILWAUKEE (2010): Made one appearance in first active season in a Panther uniform ... played final 17 minutes at Cleveland State ... made one save to preserve a shutout.

2010: FRESHMAN AT UW-MILWAUKEE(2009): Redshirted at UW-Milwaukee. Made one appearance in first active season in a Panther uniform ... played final 17 minutes at Cleveland State ... made one save to preserve a shutout.

PERSONAL: Born May 1991…daughter of Jerry and Stephanie…goal for the season is to play hard, train hard and improve…enjoys San Francisco because of the weather and proximity to her family…favorite quote is “Without struggle there is no strength”…would like to train and rehabilitate dogs after graduation…enjoys breakfast foods…Biology major. Attended Tamalpais High School, born in San Francisco. 
 

Gabby grew up in Marin County, California, and was heavily involved in soccer for most of her life. From high school soccer at Tamalpais High School and club soccer through Marin FC, she then moved on to play Division 1 soccer as a goalkeeper for the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Gabby was also a goalkeeping coach during her high school and college years. Gabby received her degree in Biology from the University of Oregon. She worked in fisheries and habitat restoration in various capacities after college, until her career change to public safety in 2019. Since then, she has been working as a police officer and firefighter in Sonoma County. Gabby was introduced to Crossfit in 2014, and has been competing in Strongman Competitions since 2017. She has always enjoyed training and competing, and through a drive to improve her performance, she has spent extensive time educating herself about nutrition and fitness. Gabby now works at a Cross Fit Gym, Body English in Petaluma (BodyEnglish.fit).
