Shotaro Iide played tennis for three years at Weil Tennis College Preparatory High School.  He majored in International Business at USF and graduated in 2022. He was born in Japan and was raised in Brazil, and has lived in Mexico and the United States. He was born in Tokyo and is the son of Masaki and Rie Lida.

During his college years, he was a member of the USF Division 1 tennis team, and managed the team's social media. Presently, he works as a Regional Sales Associate and Customer Relations at Inforich Inc., a business development company in Tokyo.
