Biography: Jenkins played baseball for two years on the Hilltop and became the Dons main closer on the mound. He was a hard throwing right-handed relief pitcher who made 60 appearances with 12 saves. He came to USF from Cuesta College where he went 7-3 as a redshirt freshman in 2015 with three shutouts, and posted a 1.80 ERA with 50 strikeouts in 85 innings. Jenkins made 11 starts in 13 appearances as a sophomore, went 8-5 with a 2.25 ERA. When he arrived in the Hilltop in 2017, he earned the team’s Jonnie Knoble Top Newcomer Award, led the team with a 1.70 ERA in 30 appearances out of the bullpen, primarily in late game situations and collected three saves on the year. He finished his USF career with a brilliant senior season, again making 30 appearances on the bump, with nine saves and a 2.60 ERA. He struck out 47 batters in 52 innings of work.

Life After USF: Following graduation, Jenkins pursued a pro baseball career. He played for the Gary SouthShore RailCats in 2018 in the American Association, and in 2019 played in the main French Division for the Senart Templiers, sporting a 14-3 record as a starting pitching, with a 2.14 ERA.
