2011 WEST COAST CONFERENCE SPRING ALL-ACADEMIC HONORABLE MENTION

From 2015, Waterman coached until 2018 at USF and is now a Financial Adviser at ChFC  CLU in San Francisco.
He was a member of the 2011 West Coast Conference Champion team, and earned 2012 WCC All-Academic Honors and graduated Cum Laude.


2011 SEASON: Tied for most wins on the team with a 6-2 record in 42.1 innings pitched… totaled five outings of one inning or more without giving up a hit… threw a no hit inning against Lamar (3/3)… struck out three in two innings of work against New Mexico State (3/5)… yielding just one hit in three innings against a powerful then No. 15 Arizona lineup (3/21)… totaled four strikeouts without allowing a base runner in three innings against California (3/29)… threw a spotless 1.1 innings against Saint Mary’s (4/9)… collected a season-high five strikeouts in 3.1 innings of no hit baseball at Portland (4/17)… kept Loyola Marymount without a base runner in three innings (5/1)…longest outing of the season was four innings at San Diego (5/8)… struck out three against Pepperdine in two innings (5/14).

2010 SEASON: Made nine appearances and put in 8.1 innings of work… finished 1-0 with nine strikeouts and a 4.32 ERA… struck out two in 1.1 innings of scoreless pitching against UC Riverside (3/19)… totaled a season-high three strikeouts against UC Santa Barbara in 1.2 innings (3/28)… three shutout inning against BYU (3/31)… held Gonzaga scoreless in 1.1 innings (4/10)… pitched two shutout innings against UC Davis (4/13). 

PREP CAREER: Played three years of varsity baseball at Alhambra High School... earned DFAL Second-Team All-League as a pitcher in 2008 and DFAL First-Team All-League in 2009... also played two years of varsity water polo, earning Honorable Mention in 2007 and All-League Second Team in 2008.

PERSONAL: Born in November of 1990 in Walnut Creek, CA... son of Mark and Susan Waterman... mother played softball at Sacramento State... goal for the season is to win a conference championship... chose USF because he liked the campus, the environment, and the coaching staff... would like to be Cliff Lee for a day... lists his high school Chemistry teacher, Clayton Florence, as the most impressive person he has met... lists Ted Williams as his sports hero... favorite movie is The Hangover... favorite book is Lord of the Flies... favorite musical artist is Red Hot Chili Peppers... favorite food is gyros... hobbies include listening to music and hanging out with friends... majoring in Business Administration.
