2011 SEASON: Redshirt

PREP CAREER: Hit .427 his senior year at Reno High School, where he was named the team’s Offensive Most Valuable Player twice… hit a grand slam in the Northern Region championship game to lead the Huskies to a title… led Reno High to a Northern High Desert League title as a senior… also played football and led the team in passing and rushing as a junior and a senior… played basketball and was a member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Born in December of 1991 in Reno, NV… parents are Forrest Bietz and Shelley Nork… chose USF because of the coaching staff and players… goal for the season is to become the best bunter on the team… the thing he likes best about San Francisco is that there is never a dull moment… favorite quote is, “The pain of regret is much worse than the pain of hard work.”… the best advice he would give to youngsters is, “you only get one chance so don’t take anything for granted.”… favorite food is steak and rice… favorite musical artist is Flipcycle.
