In the midst of a difficult weekend, the USF Dons might have discovered a secret weapon -- or two.
Lithuanian transfer Vilma Tamuleviciute, who barely had seen playing time this season, started for the second straight night, scored 12 points and was the key component in a second-half run that propelled USF to a 72-61 win over Loyola Marymount last night at Memorial Gym.
Freshman center Leeane Jensen, who's still learning to play at this level even though she usually starts, was a major factor, too, with eight second- half points and some strong board work late.
Both Tamuleviciute, who also had five assists and two steals, and Jensen got extended playing time because, for the second straight night, the Dons had only eight available players (SFChronicle).
Tamuleviciute who is 6' 1", is a native of Marijampole, Lithuania and attended Hill College High School.
