Tyler Alvarez graduated from USF in 2012 with a Bachelors in Psychology and earned a Masters at University of New Mexico and a Doctorate at John F Kennedy University in 2019.  He is currently a Staff Psychologist at UC San Diego.

2010 Cross Country: Ran the four-mile course at the Hornet Jamboree in 21:34, which was good enough for 25th. Had to drop out of the Bronco Invitational with an injury.

2010 Track & Field: Posted a personal best of 15:07.40 for 5000m at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival

2009 Cross Country: Finished 19th in 26:01 at the WCC Championships... set a personal best of 25:49 at the Bronco Invitational.

2009 Track & Field: Posted personal bests of 4:01.14 for 1500 at the Johnny Mathis Invitational and 15:12.02 for 5000m at the Woody Wilson Invitational.

2008 Cross Country: Finished 27th in the WCC Championships... set a personal best of 25:54.0 at the Bronco Invitational.

Prep Career: Competed for powerhouse Dana Hills High School who won the 2007 Division I California State Cross Country Championships... finished 18th overall with a time of 15:41 on the Woodward Park course... has prep personal bests of 1:57.83 (800),4:28 (1600) and 9:38(3200).
