Career Highlights: Ran the 5K in under 16 minutes during her senior season

Biography: Born was a member of both the Cross County and the Track and Field team at USF. Along with her teammate she helped set the foundation for the 2009 cross-country team that would go on to win the West Coast Conference Championship. 

Why Born Chose USF: “I was recruited by Helen Lehman-Winters, a head coach  that I believed in and who believed in me. USF was close to 'home,' and at the time I could see myself living in San Francisco for the next four to five years.”

Favorite USF Memory: “The bus trips were cool, but flying to different locations and seeing the country was epic.”

The USF Student-Athlete Experience: “Traveling!”

Life After USF: Born earned an Masters. in Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Administration at the University of New Mexico. She is a teacher candidate currently attending California State University Sacramento working toward an M.A. in Teaching with specialization in mild to moderate disabilities.
