• Made her first start at NIU on February 1 against Buffalo, scoring four points with four rebounds
• Filled the box score with seven points, six rebounds, and two blocks in the Huskies’ overtime win at Bowling Green (2/8/20)
• Led NIU with five assists in an overtime win over Miami (2/12/20)
• Tied a career-high with nine points at Ball State (2/19/20)
• Was 3-for-3 from the field with two three-pointers to score eight points in win over Eastern Michigan (2/26/20)
• Pulled down a career-high seven rebounds in win over Ball State (3/4/20)
• Had six rebounds in first round of the MAC Tournament at Eastern Michigan (3/9/20)

2018-2019:
• Scored first points as a Huskie on a three-pointer at Indiana on Nov. 25
• Also made a three against Nevada on Dec. 2, adding five rebounds
• Had three points and five rebounds in win over Eastern Illinois on Dec. 17
• Recorded season-highs of nine points and three assists against Chicago State on Dec. 21
• Had four rebounds in 10 minutes against Akron on Jan. 20
• Pulled down season-high six rebounds at Toledo on March 2

Prior to NIU:
  • Spent three seasons at the University of San Francisco before transferring to NIU
  • Played in 40 games for the Dons after redshirting her freshman season
  • Averaged 3.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in 27 games during the 2017-18 season
  • Made five three-pointers against #16 Stanford on Nov. 29, 2017 for a season-high 15 points
  • Member of three Finnish Girls U19 National Championship teams in 2013, 2014, and 2015
  • A significant contributor for the Finland national team at the 2014 U18 Division B European Championships
  • Competed at the 2011 and 2012 European Championships with Finland U16 team
2016-2017 (RS FRESHMAN): Was limited to 13 appearances while dealing with an injury... started the first two games of the year, scoring a season-high eight points in the opener versus Sacramento State... scored seven points while grabbing a season-best nine rebounds against Seattle on Nov. 15... tallied six points and eight boards in a win over Long Beach State on Nov. 20. 

2015-2016: Redshirt season

PREP/INTERNATIONAL CAREER: Won three Finnish Girls U19 National Championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015 … finals Most Valuable Player in 2013 … has competed in 58 national team games, suiting up for Finland … was a significant contributor on the Finnish team at the 2014 U18 Division B European Championships … pulled down seven offensive rebounds against Luxembourg, and 13 rebounds in a victory over Montenegro … competed in the European Championships with the U16 squad in 2011 and 2012 … played club basketball with Kauhajoen Karhu.

PERSONAL: Plans to pursue a Degree in International Studies … daughter of Petteri Opas and Mariliisa Salmi … mother is a BYU Hall of Famer and four-time All-American volleyball player … Mariliisa went on to play professionally in France, Norway and Finland … born Nov. 3, 1996, in Kauhajoki, Finland.
